Both will be filled with favorite carols, connections for children, and candlelight. Communion will be offered at both services, too. Come, rejoice once again in the birth of our Savior! Share the invitation - all are welcome! #elca #champaignurbana #christmaseve
What makes Christmas Christmas? As the journey through Advent continues, celebrate with us during our annual Christmas Program, this Sunday at 9 AM. Folks are welcome to participate by dressing up as an angel or shepherd. Costumes provided! #elca #champaignurbana
You're invited to a Christmas Cantata and Carol Sing on Sunday, December 15th at 3 PM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Champaign. Featuring combined choirs from ELCA churches in the C-U area, this cantata is also a fund-raiser for Lutheran Disaster Response. A free-will offering will be taken that benefits clean-up and recovery efforts following this year's devastating storms and floods in Florida and the southeast. Refreshments will follow. Bring your neighbors and friends for a wonderful Christmas concert!
Some photos from our annual Live Nativity! Many many thanks to all of our wonderful volunteers! Singers, costumes characters, cookie and cocoa servers, fire pit tenders, traffic directors, greeters, coordinators, stable builders.... it was an amazing experience once again because of you! (And yes, bc of Humphrey the carrot-vacuuming camel🐫 !) Share your photos below.
Our wonderful volunteers are getting ready for the Live Nativity! Are you ready? Join us Sunday, December 8th any time between 3 and 5 PM to meet the animals, hear the Christmas story, enjoy some refreshments, and get your hearts ready for the celebration of the birth of Jesus!
This Sunday we pray for God to guide our feet into the way of peace. Following the example of John the Baptist, we hope to become people who prepare the way of the Lord through the work of peace and justice. Join us for worship at 9 AM and Sunday School, Adult Forum, and Dwelling Together Small Group at 10:15 AM. #elca #champaignurbana
