Our "Live Nativity" is on Sunday, December 7th from 3 to 5 pm in the front parking lot of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. We're on the corner of Prospect and Devonshire in Champaign. "Operation Turkey Sandwich" was a huge success and fun was had by all! Congregation and community members came together on Thanksgiving morning to make and distribute nearly 300 bag lunches for essential workers who had to work. Happy New Year! November 30th is the First Sunday of Advent and the first Sunday of the new church year. Join us for worship as we light the first candle of the Advent wreath, prepare for our Lord's coming, and hear the message to "Stay awake!" Worship begins at 9 AM. Please come to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall (2101 S. Prospect Ave., C) at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 27 -- and bring your family and friends! We'll have all kinds of jobs: sandwich making, cookie packaging, sack decorating, napkins-plastic ware wrapping, food staging and so on.

As soon as we have prepared everything, we'll share a short prayer and then real fun begins --assembling lunches!

Our other big need: Drivers and delivery teams. If you are willing to deliver lunches, please let me know.
